The part about splurging on your spouse reminded me of something awesome my husband did for me a few years ago:
He secretly took a vacation day at work. I got to sleep in while he took our daughter to preschool. He brought me breakfast, took me shopping, out to lunch and arranged childcare for that night to take me to dinner and a movie. It was such a wonderful surprise. We didn’t go anywhere fancy, but just the fact that he took the time to do this and give me such a “me” day was awesome.
Something else he does is called “Daddy Tuesday.” He gets our daughter to school every Tuesday morning and I can catch a few extra ZZZZ’s. I work a few nights a week and Mondays are usually pretty late, so the extra sleep is awesome. It’s the little things!!
Love the show! Thanks for the time you take to put it together every week!!

Love the surprise element to that splurge!! And Daddy Tuesday – Very cool. We do ‘Dude’s Night’ where I take our son out and Lisa gets some time to herself. Thanks for the comment – and some great ideas for the show —>and our marriage!
