The problem to day is talking about sex is taboo in christian circles so where to young people go to learn new things and to discuss the problems they are having a lot of them are even scared to go to christian web sites because they are so brainwashed, sex is wrong and never told about the good part of sex in marriage. and there is an overlapping between sex in marriage and some areas of porn.
Kevin, you are so right about how talking about sex can be taboo in many Christian circles. Luckily for many of us that there are wonderful folks like Stu & Lisa who are willing to share from the heart. When folks like this are willing to open up you’d be surprised how many marriages are impacted for the better. Not only those who listen, but even friends and family benefit.
Share these guys as they are telling the truth and help the young folks, but also those who have been at marriage for many years.
What do you mean there is an overlap between sex in marriage and porn? I’m a bit confused as having been a husband who viewed porn for the first 7 years of my marriage it hurt my marriage drastically. I haven’t viewed it for 8 years now and my marriage has grown and flourished each year.
Thanks Tony! Great thoughts – appreciate your wisdom!
Hey Kevin! Thanks for the comment. That is one reason why we think it is important to talk about sex and marriage. Many of our listeners, we have found, are either newly married, or are engaged – and eagerly anticipating their marriage. So, hopefully we can be a helpful voice to offer some of our story as encouragement and examples of what to do, and what to do differently! Would love to understand what you mean by “overlapping between sex in marriage and some areas of porn”. Other than the sexual act itself both in porn and marriage, the way it is depicted and shown is completely different and foreign to what married sex can be, or what it is supposed to be.
